Ingeborg Gallery was established in 1972 in Port Washington, NY. After ten years we relocated to our present address in Northfield, MA. We are private dealers specializing in fine American prints 1860-1960. This includes etchings, lithographs, block prints and screenprints. In addition, some European prints are available from time to time. By 1983 the gallery’s inventory was expanded to include American drawings, watercolors, pastels and oil paintings. We are known for finding great images by lesser known and upcoming artists and maintain an inventory representing over 300 artists. We have sold numerous works to private collectors, dealers and public institutions. Ingeborg Gallery participates in 22 shows along the east coast per year (please see show schedule for upcoming shows in your area). In addition we are open by appointment for clients visiting our area (please see Contact Us for details).

The gallery is also proud to be the exclusive representative for the estates of the noted Vermont lithographer Ella Fillmore Lillie, Esther Pressoir, a contributing artist to The New Yorker magazine, the abstract realist painter Paul Hollister and the prints, drawings and watercolors of New York artist Mortimer Borne.

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee our artwork to be as described. All of our artwork is in good to excellent condition. All defects, if any, are noted. All works on paper are matted and backed with acid-free conservation material. Some works are framed and so noted.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

For our clients within the United States we accept personal, business and bank checks, money orders, Visa and MasterCard. We offer next day shipping, where possible, for credit card or money order purchases. For our overseas clients we accept only Western Union transfers or Visa and MasterCard. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Massachusetts residents please include 5% sales tax with your order (if tax exempt please provide us with pertinent information). Time payments can be arranged. Please call for details. Works may be sent on approval, for 10 days, to known clients or to those furnishing appropriate references. Works returned within 14 days will have their full purchase price refunded, less shipping, if they are returned fully insured and in the same condition as received. Prices are subject to change without notice and all works are subject to prior sale.

SHIPPING POLICY

Shipping within the United States is via USPS priority insured mail with delivery confirmation. If you prefer, other shipping options can be arranged. We will gladly quote shipping charges if you provide us with a destination zip code. We do not make money on shipping but do include a small charge to cover the cost of packing material. Please contact us for shipping quotes on deliveries outside of the United States.

SELLING TO US

We are always interested in purchasing entire collections or individual works by well known or lesser known artists. We will not appraise works that a client has for sale as we consider this a conflict of interest.

CONSIGNMENT

We will consider certain pieces for consignment sales. Fees will vary with the value of the work for this service
